Register on passing €50,000
Registration in the VAT register becomes compulsory once taxable transactions in the calendar year reach €50,000. Registration may be deferred only while the overshoot stays within 10% (up to €55,000), and the application must then be filed by 30 November of that year — or by 31 December if the threshold is first passed after 30 November. The sale of fixed assets and intangible investments is left out of the threshold.
